Chrome OS doesn't scale the Chrome UI to 4K monitors as well as Chrome on Mac does. |

Issue descriptionfrom bpoeisz: Now for the bad news. The screen is unreadable at this resolution and while I can increase the page zoom to compensate it doesn't affect the actual system UI and I have to manually switch between 100% and 150% manually when I'm on the monitor or walking around for all my windows... ... FWIW Chrome on Windows handles this perfectly (scaling is changed for you depending on monitor DPI)

Yes, This complaint is for external monitor, attached to Caroline (though device likely doesn't matter).

we're working on addressing some of the pain points raised (go/CrosResolution). 1st) creating a shortcut for external display to adjust display size on 4K displays (instead of having to use zoom in and out). 2nd) auto-selecting the most optimal resolution for external display. Hoping to slot 1st to M65. 2nd will span over couple milestones. Assigning this to Malay for now.

I don't know about 'doesn't scale as well as on MacOS' vibe because on Pixelbook I have zero scaling options available except changing actual resolution output. ChromeOS Text & UI & Play Store apps are miniscule on my 27" 4K USB-C screen. I support any effort to add scaling options. Page zoom is not a solution, and remains zoomed when unplugging & going portable... :(
