Issue descriptionChrome Version : 60.0.3112.101 OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) URLs (if applicable) : None Other browsers tested: None What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Vertical ... menu. 2. Cast 3. Select Source --> Cast desktop 4. Choose device --> Select anything 5. See a "Share your screen" popup. Choose any screen. I have "Share audio" checked. Then hit the [Share] button. What is the expected result? I expect that audio is cast to my chromecast audio or my Google Home. (These are the two devices I have.) What happens instead of that? I get a toast message thing immediately that says "Failed to cast. Please try again." Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if possible. I have 2 monitors. I dunno if that makes a difference. I've also tried unchecking the "Share Audio" checkbox. (Though I'm not sure what sharing screen only to audio-only devices means.) That also results in the same behavior. I've tried using incognito mode --> same behavior. I can cast individual tabs successfully. Just not the entire desktop. UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.101 Safari/537.36

This has been verified internally to work in Chrome 63.0.3223.8 (Windows and CrOS only).

Sadly the patch to fix Bug 662499 broke something in Hangouts. Will update when the patch relands.

This is a good product excellence fix for the backlog. |
