Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.90 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Start downloading a larger file (Like more than 1GB) 2. Disconnect the Network connection 3. Re-connect to the network and press "Resume" from the "Downloads" section in Chrome (chrome://downloads/) What is the expected behavior? Downloading should resume from the point of failure. What went wrong? Instead of resuming the download, it is re-starting the download. Did this work before? Yes Not sure of the exact version Chrome version: 60.0.3112.90 Channel: n/a OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: I was pissed off while downloading a file from the Drive to my local computer. If you guys want more information, Please send a mail to "prrswr@gmail.com"

It looks like you mentioned a file on drive. We can try to see if large drive files are not resumable. It depends on the response headers.

I looked at the server response from drive, that it doesn't contain the headers for resumption in the middle. But we need to look into it more closely. In the current code for the final response that actually do the download, server must supply headers like "Accept-Ranges" or "Content-Range" in a 206 response for Chrome to resume in the middle. However, response from driver server contains "Access-Control-Allow-Headers" that contains a "Content-Range" in the list, that this is a preflight request during cross origin, and might be an implication of being able to resume in the middle. Another thing is Access-Control-Allow-Headers presents as the final URLRequest for download, I'm not sure if it is glued in from preflight http request or the server just include this as the final response.

Filed a bug to drive. In order to make Chrome download resumption works, we need a bunch of headers. However I think drive front end can request those headers in their COR request. If Chrome has those headers, resumption will work. But currently it's unclear that if drive can provide those things.
