Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.78 Safari/537.36 OPR/47.0.2631.55 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. install extension that has alert popups (for example https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/jacks-mousehunt-helper/ghfmjkamilolkalibpmokjigalmncfek) 2. make that extension do an alert style popup (in jacks extension click on the icon and first link) What is the expected behavior? an alert popup is expected to appear somewhere on the screen fully visible. You are correct. On your screenshot you already dragged the popup to the left. Initially it appears off screen.

Tested this issue on Chrome Stable #60.0.3112.113, dev #62.0.3200.0 on Windows 7 and able to reproduce the issue. This is a non-regression issue seen from M-40 #40.0.2172.0. Marking it as untriaged so that issue gets addressed. Attached the screenshot for reference. Thanks!!

The extension referenced in the original report got updated, but the issue still exists. Please try a different addon with a javascript alert() from popup.js to replicate it.
