What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) open a MD chrome:// page 
(2) click on an item, where a MD menu appears
(3) hover over an MD menu item
(4) take a look at corners of the mouse-hover highlight 

What is the expected result?
To see angular corners regarding https://material.io/guidelines/components/menus.html#menus-behavior

What happens instead?
I see rounded hover highlight corners.
