Automated tests for the below commit have been missing.Would it be possible to add test coverage to avoid regressions in future?

I don't think adding tests for this is worthwhile.

The biggest blocker is that test would require to install an MSI, which can't be done on the bots (AFAIK).

I've manually verified the fix.
