[Feedback Canary] When switching between open tabs, the event sometimes triggers the drop-down menu for the address bar |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 62.0.3186.0 canary OS: Win 10 User Comment / Feedback http://feedback/#/Report/70725738094 Since 2017-08-13, when switching between open tabs, the event sometimes triggers the drop-down menu for the address bar. Clicking elsewhere on the page or interface does not hide this menu like it normally does. The only way to hide it is to click the address bar, then somewhere on the page. This is an issue in the latest roll out of Canary. Please see attached screenshot.

Hey, Are you switching tabs via Ctrl+Tab or clicking the tabs? I'm not able to immediately reproduce on Linux.

tommycli@: judging by the screenshot, this is on-focus (a.k.a. zero suggest) appearing. When you test it locally, please make sure you have all the pre-conditions for zero suggest enabled and that zero suggest normally appears on the page you're trying to switch to.

It just occurred to me, I'm pretty sure this is bug 751837 .

It's not happening all the time, but if it starts happening then that page does it every time I click on its tab until I close that window. Ctrl+Tab do this as well.

I couldn't reproduce this after disabling the "Experimental contextual omnibox suggestion" flag.

Thanks ngg@, that confirms my thought that this is a duplicate of bug 751837 . A change to fix it is under review. |
