Issue descriptionChrome Version:62.0.3187.0/9850.0.0 dev-channel Daisy,Kip,Minnie OS:Chrome What steps will reproduce the problem? (1)Launch chrome,navigate to https://www.trivago.in/and search any sample city (2)In search result page, go to bottom >> Click continuously on 'Country' drop-down list and Observe white traces (Kindly refer video) Actual:White glance is seen while clicking continuously on 'Country' drop-down list Expected: Instead, no such white glances should be seen. This is a Regression issue as same is working fine in 58.0.3029.145/9334.74.0 stable channel Kip Note: Issue is not seen in Linux,Windows OS

As per comment 3,Search result page does not have a country drop down if already there is a predefined country at the top-right corner of page(please refer screenshot attached) Pre-condition:There shouldn't be any pre-defined country flag at the top-right corner of page. Steps Included are: (1)Perform Google Search for 'trivago' keyword,open the link which is seen as https://www.trivago.in/..search any sample city (2)In search result page, go to bottom >> Click continuously on 'Country' drop-down list and Observe white traces @eae: Could you please check the issue and confirm on the same Attached screencast for your reference.Thanks!!

Can reproduce now, thank you. Looks like the color of the window for the select control isn't set until it has been populated. Assuming ChromeOS uses the InternalPopupMenu implementation this is owned by the forms team.
