Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9592.71.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.80 Safari/537.36 Platform: 9592.71.0 (Official Build) beta-channel samus Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Download a file on a Chromebook 2. Notice a toast in lower right when download is complete, allowing you to "Show in folder" 3. Drag the notification thumbnail on a window accepting file drops. What is the expected behavior? Drops the file (like Chrome on Linux at least). Possibly offers to delete the downloaded file. What went wrong? Does nothing. Did this work before? No Chrome version: 60.0.3112.80 Channel: n/a OS Version: 9592.71.0 Flash Version:

I think it would be cool to support that. In a way, we support this for Chrome browser on Windows, why not support it for all file notifications on ChromeOS? Adding a few folks that might be interested in picking it up. Any of you interested in taking this action item? Specifically looking at your Hirono@ as you've done something like that recently.

To start drag & drop operation, the notification code needs to invoke: aura::client::GetDragDropClient(root_window)->StartDragAndDrop(...); https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/ui/aura/client/drag_drop_client.h?type=cs&q=StartDragAndDrop&sq=package:chromium&l=35 Then existing receivers automatically handle the dragged files. |
