Translation reverts for tw.yahoo.com

Project Member Reported by napper@chromium.org, Aug 17 2017

Issue description

Chrome Version: (copy from chrome://version)
OS: (e.g. Win7, OSX 10.9.5, etc...)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Go to tw.yahoo.com
(2) Click translate

What is the expected result?
English translation is shown

What happens instead?
English translation is shown, then reverts to chinese

On linux, the page is partially translated and not fully reverted (as observed on OSX). The issue is also observed on yahoo.jp, except that more of the home page is successfully translated.

Interestingly, scrolling further down on yahoo.jp has some of the newly displayed elements translated successfully (translation resumes), while scrolling down on tw.yahoo.com does not seem to resume the translations.

These sites also seem to be raising a number of exceptions/errors. Will investigate to see if these are being inadvertently caught by the translation flows.

I've created an internal CL to work around the server-side error triggered by tw.yahoo.com and will continue investigating the root cause.

The fix in the translate server was pushed to prod 15 Sept 2017. Verified that the workaround has resolved the issue with tw.yahoo.com. Marking as fixed.
