Issue description

Regression where the algorithm parameters are reset even if they exist.

The algorithm parameters should only be reset if they don't exist.

[Findit] Flake Analyzer - Fix for algorithm parameters being reset.

There was a regression introduced that resets the algorithm parameters
even if they already exist.
