Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.101 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open a random website(eg: wikipedia) 2. select some text 3. drag it to the tab bar What is the expected behavior? an arrow appears to indicate where the new tab will be opened What went wrong? the arrow has a black background Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 60.0.3112.101 Channel: stable OS Version: debian 9 Flash Version: Issue present in both chrome and chromium

Unable to reproduce this issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome latest stable #60.0.3112.101 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Observed an arrow appears to open in a new tab page. Reporter@ Are you able to reproduce this issue on incognito mode as well? Please recheck this issue by creating a new profile under chrome://settings with no apps or extensions in your browser. Able to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version#60.0.3112.101 (stable) & Canary#62.0.3188.0 as per steps in comment#0. Observed that the arrow has a black background where user drag the text to tab bar.Same issue persists from M48 builds to latest chrome versions.As it is a non regression issue, marking it as 'Untraiged' to get more inputs from dev. Please find the attached screencast for reference. Note: 1.Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows 7 & Mac 10.12.6. 2.Earlier builds of M48 are getting crashed on Ubuntu Thanks..!!

After disable Hardware Acceleration in chrome://settings, the issue is gone. Hope it helps. Thanks
