"This extension may have been corrupted" after clicking browser action icon

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.101 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Add this extension to Chrome.
2. Installation is OK (browser action icon appears, both options page and background page work well).
3. Left click on browser action icon.

What is the expected behavior?
The browser action popup should be displayed.

What went wrong?
The moment I click on the browser action icon to open the popup, the browser action icon disapears right away and the extension is considered corrupted.
The repair button doesn't change anything.

OS Version: 10.0

The problem arised from version 2.5.1 (I tried two other versions 2.5.2 and 2.5.3 from then with same behavior).
I'm not changing any file of the extension by code.
Seems like it's working fine with Chrome 61b.

Duplicate of  issue 720597 , fixed in Chrome 61.0.3124.0.

You have a file that's sized as a multiple of 4096.
js\modules\browser-action\panels\bookmarks-panel.js
Edit it and add a space or a new line.
