OP do you mean that the NFS doesn't show up in the UI sidebar, but you can still choose it if you navigate through your filesystem? Chrome now uses GTK3's file chooser dialog, which has some differences from the GTK2 one. I'm assuming other GTK3 apps like firefox would have the same behavior (could you confirm?) If that's the case, then there's probably nothing we can do here, unfortunately

thomasanderson@ - Could you please respond to comment #5 and please let us know if it is really a bug. Also please let us know if bisect is needed to be done from TE-end if a regression. Thanks...!!

After some research, this bug is definitely caused by GTK3. They changed the behavior of the file chooser to not show network shares by default. You can opt-in, but GTK would then return filenames like 'sftp://host/file.html' instead of 'file:///fusemount/file.html'. For reference, here's the (still open) mozilla bug from when they switched to GTK3: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1187870 I'll leave this assigned to myself, but I'm not sure there's much we can do here.

At work I'm getting really tired of telling my 50 users that I can't help them and that they should copy their files from the company's shares to a temporary local directory before uploading them to the mail. They're getting really tired of working around that, too.
