Checked version 61.0.3163.51 of WebView and still fails to flip FlipBoard pages to page 2 and on. See attached file for screen record. Expected page 2 on flip but instead flips past pages to related articles that normally occur only after flipping through all pages of flip type articles.

Update to WebView, version 61.0.3163.60, tested today still has the same effect as in attachment inside the FlipBoard application. FlipBoard hasn't worked right since WebView Version 60.0.3112.97 for me.

Last 2 beta WebView updates flip past the remaining pages to related articles rather than flipping through the pages of the articles, where multiple flip pages are available. Other articles that only require scrolling can be read but the flip pages don't work after WebView update above.

Same behavior noted with latest FlipBoard update 4.1.0

I reverted beck to WebView version com.google.android.webview_60.0.3112.97-311209700_minAPI21(armeabi-v7a)(nodpi) and as before, FlipBoard pages with flips now flip to page 2 and up as expected.

brotony00@, not all articles are flipping, most of them are just scrolling up and down like a normal webpage, is there a better way to find the special flipping article?

Maybe FlipBoard is doing some tests so some of users got flipping and others got scrolling?

I can repro this with Nexus 5X with Android M with WebView 62.0.3198.0 and 61.0.3163.60, can not repro this with 60.0.3112.113

@ctzsm@chromium.org The articles are dependent upon how FlipBoard packages and serves them. Sorry that it's a lottery pick as to which articles flip; it takes a little time. I do thank you for verifying the older WebView beta apk did not induce this while the latest ones do.

I appreciate the assigning of issue to whomever did so. Please take the time and care to duplicate the issue by searching for a flip article.

FlipBoard finally responded in auto reply but have yet to reply in person via email support. 

I'm confident the issue will be fixed and I'll look for a letter update to test.

WebView beta version 61.0.3163.72 still causes FlipBoard flip pages to skip page(s) 2 and up on page flip articles.

Reverted back to WebView version 60.0.3112.97 and page flip works again.

Just tested beta WebView version 61.0.3163.81 against latest FlipBoard install on my Marshmallow ROM that failed before. I see pages flipping again.

I think it's resolved. Will update if fails soon. Otherwise, maybe you can close this.
