[A11y Assessment - Print] Improve initial verbalizations |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionOS: Chrome Version: 61.0.3163.38 1. Enable ChromeVox with Ctrl Alt Z 2. Press Ctrl P to open print Observe that ChromeVox reads a few things about the window, then speaks "fit to page, zoom in, zoom out" which are the three buttons that visually appear on the lower right, then fade away until hovered again. ChromeVox should not verbalize those buttons when you first open the print page -- this doesn't make sense to the user. We should revisit what the initial verbalization is, since right now it says "window, new tab, save, disabled, fit to page, zoom in, zoom out" all in the first opening verbalizaion when you get to that UI. This is a lot and isn't very helpful -- it should tell the user that this is a new tab, but that this is the print page (or whatever we want to officially call it). It doesn't need to verbalize everything else it's verbalizing -- this is adding clutter and confusion.

Does the verbalization occur in the Chrome PDF Viewer as well? If so, this may really be a PDF Viewer problem.

I can't reproduce this anymore. Maybe it's because my Chromebook switched itself to ChromeVox next?
