(1) Run with --memlog
(2) Navigate to chrome://memory-internals
(3) Click the dump to file for any child process type (gpu, renderer, etc)
(4) Look for "pc:" entries in produced memlog_dump file. There will be 0.
(5) Do the same for the browser. You will see many.

Test was done on linux, but I assume it generalizes to other platforms.
