No way to control music from lock screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Start a song on Spotify
(2) Let Chromebook sit idle for long enough that it automatically locks
(3) Have a desperate need to change or pause song

What is the expected result?
Music controls are available in some way without unlocking device.

What happens instead?
Music keeps playing until device is unlocked and I can reach controls through the app or notification center.

This seems to be the only major use case for lock-screen notifications, so the question is - should we implement lock-screen notifications to get this behavior, or is there a better solution for this specific use case?

If we can't come up with any other good use cases for notifications I think we should think of other solution for this case, like showing the controls right on the lock screen. #mytwocents
