Thanks for the report, I'm not able to reproduce this, however. Could you please try this on a fresh profile without any extensions?
I retried with a fresh profile, and I was still able to reproduce the error.

A few more details can be seen.

also able to reproduce in:

Version 62.0.3186.0 (Official Build) canary (64-bit)

If you want to point me in the direction of where the UI code is for this i wouldn't mind taking a look at it.

thnx

The video's really helpful. Feel free to take a look at the code! DevTools calls ShowCertificateViewer starting here:
https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/chrome/browser/devtools/devtools_window.cc?type=cs&sq=package:chromium&l=1331

This doesn't really look like a DevTools issue, since it hands off showing the modal. I'm not familiar with this area, but I found a relevant CL:
https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/8f36f7b892825b3117d2b1d2cbd60b05ce6da4ba

cc'ing patricialor, who might know more about this.

Thanks for your bug report! I did have a fix out at one point in https://codereview.chromium.org/2562653002/, but I don't think we want to use that solution - see rationale for that in https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=671150#c3. I think the underlying issue causing this must be an macOS one.
Indeed this does look like a duplicate. Those threads and commits were very educational. I'd like to dig into it and see what I can do.

thnx
