"Chrome didn't shut down correctly" dialog disappears when clicking elsewhere on the page

Reported by wow6...@gmail.com, Aug 12 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/62.0.3178.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Crash the browser
2. Open the browser.
Dialog "Chrome didn't shut down correctly" appears.
3. Click outside of the "Restore" button boundaries.

What is the expected behavior?
Dialog "Chrome didn't shut down correctly" MUST remain until the user clicks either CANCEL or RESTORE.

What went wrong?
Dialog "Chrome didn't shut down correctly" disappeared and I was unable to restore my 3 windows with more than 100 Tabs.
PS. THERE WERE NO "Open 10 closed tabs" links in the HISTORY menu. So the very important Workspace was lost permanently.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 62.0.3178.0 Channel: dev
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version:

There must be a more prominent button/solution and not a popup to restore tabs after the crash.
If the information about tabs and windows which can be restored after a crash is saved somewhere it must be accessible e.g. through chrome://crashedtabs e.g. before the user closes the browser again.

Tested on latest stable #60.0.3112.101, Canary #62.0.3188.0 on Windows 7 & 10 and unable to reproduce the issue mentioned. Please refer the screencast attached.

Steps followed:
1. Launch Chrome browser.
2. Made Chrome to get crashed.
3. Launch the browser and observe the “Restore” bubble.

Observations -- User is able to see the restore bubble until user clicks on “Restore” button or closes bubble by clicking on ‘X’ displayed on bubble.

@wow64gr -- Could you please update your Chrome to latest version mentioned. Also, please try by removing the extensions and creating a new profile to verify if the issue still persists.

Please let us know if we have missed anything.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
thank you for your answer. With the explicit crash command indeed the CORRECT window pops up, i.e. only with one "Restore" button.

I'm pretty sure, that the dialog I was presented with in my OP had TWO buttons - RESTORE and CANCEL (not an 'X'). I guess the issue can be closed but I will come back if I will get into the same situation.

This could something to do with the "material" chrome://flags but it's not reproducible. Thank you.
