Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.90 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://jsfiddle.net/s4g1qgbx/4/ Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to https://jsfiddle.net/s4g1qgbx/4/ 2. Click 'Do Nothing' button — as the name says, it is not supposed to do anything, because it adds a class to an element and immediately removes it. What is the expected behavior? Nothing happens. What went wrong? A spacing appears between borders, causing the top cell to shrink. Does it occur on multiple sites: No Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? N/A Chrome version: 60.0.3112.90 Channel: stable OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Tested in: * Chrome for Windows and Android, latest stable — bug reproduces, same behavior * Microsoft Edge 15.15063 — bug does not reproduce * Internet Explorer 11 — bug does not reproduce * Firefox 54 — bug reproduces, but differently: instead of spacing invisible 7px borders appear in both cells, stretching their height to 60px

According to my experience it has to do with the "border-collapse" property, because if you remove it from the table element it works as expected. Does this work in other browsers? -Firefox introduces a padding, which is not supposed to exist. (54.0.1) -Edge works fine. (40.15063.0.0) Workaround: remove "border-collapse" and add it again - this fixes the mistake. ++++++++++ With "border-collapse" removed from parent table: ++++++++++ What is the expected behavior? Nothing happens. What went wrong? Nothing.
