Issue descriptionApp Version: 61.0.3163.38 beta iOS Version: 11.0 beta 5 Device: iPad Pro 12’5 URL: NTP Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Chrome 2. In NTP tap on omnibox to bring up the soft keyboard. 3. Lock the device. 4. Unlock device. Observed results: In chrome , Soft keyboard’s accessory remains for a few seconds after switching the device On. Expected results: Chrome’s soft keyboard should be dismissed smoothly when device is unlocked. This is only happening on iOS11 right ? - Yes, only in iOS11 Is this happening everywhere else? Or just the NTP? - Only in NTP. For instance when in google.com and the cursor is in search box and the soft keyboard comes up, this issues does not occur.

Looks like it's specific to the iPad pro 12'', and is most likely a beta bug. I'll try to make a reduced test case and submit it to Apple.

I see the same thing happening in Safari. It looks like it takes the system keyboard a few moments (< 1s) to show after unlocking the device. You can see this by following the same steps in Safari. The difference is the accessory view is showing immediately. |
