I cannot access the site https://quickr1.emcor.net , it times out (ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT). If this is an intra-net site that Chromium developers cannot access, we can never investigate further... Is the same issue happening on other public sites?

Could this be related to issue 752150 ?
,

Possibly, I will follow the thread and see if we can get this resolved. Thanks for the link!

Just FYI the issue 752150 was merged into issue 736430 which was closed as WontFix.

Great a WontFix, thanks for that!

jdgallegos@, so you are comfortable with WontFix'ing this issue?
,
Aug 10 2017
I'm not comfortable with it, but do I have a choice if it's not going to be fixed?

Over to tkent for further triage and to determine whether this should be merged into 736430.

jdgallegos@, we (Chromium developers) cannot be sure if this issue is same as issue 736430 , as we cannot access the site. As you seem to have made some comments on issue 752150 , while an IBM person replied that it looks a different issue. So probably we cannot merge this into issue 736430 . If you can clearly identify and describe what is the issue of Google Chrome or Chromium, please provide information so we can work on fixing it. However if you cannot do yourself, you might better ask your IT or system vendor (IBM in this case?) to investigate what is going on in newer Chrome version to clarify the culprit, otherwise Chromium developers cannot dig this further. Unless such detailed reproduction or issue description is available, we don't have a choice but closing as wontfix :-)

I did provide the error code, is this not enough information? When trying to open an embedded page the view does not load. I see the attached error when looking in the Developer tools console, let me know what other info you would need.

Error code 404 means that the server cannot find the requested resource, which means the resource doesn't exist or the client (not meaning Google Chrome itself, but the loaded page's code) made some incorrect request to the server. So from the screenshot, we cannot tell anything is wrong with Chrome. From the fact that other browsers (what did you test? Firefox, Edge, Safari??) and it used to work, some change made in M60 Chrome could be the culprit, but as we cannot investigate further as emcor.net seems not to be publicly available. There's possibility that the change in M60 is legitimate and the site itself stepped on some marginal bug that resulted in requesting a wrong resource or something. So what you can do here is contact your IT managing the emcor.net to investigate what went wrong with the latest Chrome, and could you report it back here, as I wrote in comment 13? Thanks,

This is working with Firefox, Edge and Internet Explorer with no changes made on the server side. I'm not sure what changes in M60 were made so I can't say what caused this. IT managing the server cannot make changes so if there isn't a plugin or setting in M60 to modify then we will have to use other browsers going forward. Thanks

With the given information we cannot take any action on this issue yet. The fact that other browsers are working fine, makes us think that our change in M60 might have broke some compatibility, but we have a bunch of changes between M59 and M60, we cannot pinpoint what is the issue with the given information. As a stopgap solution, it is up to you or your site IT management to recommend other browsers. What we would like to know is what exactly is going wrong with your site. Is there any path to escalate the issue from your IT manager to your system vendor?

The NextAction date has arrived: 2017-08-22

There is not any other path to escalate this. The site is not displaying any data once you log in. You get a blank page when clicking on links within the site that should be showing doc links and other data.

Unfortunately we cannot investigate any further with given information. |
