The new settings are indeed occasionally awkward and weird on a desktop platform, but you'll get used to it, even I did. It's not like you need to visit the settings often, right?

Comment 2 by bau...@gmail.com, Aug 6 2017

I visit the setting almost every day, since all the cookie, data, exclusion .. settings are there. In addition to finding a bacled organization, the font used is very poor on a windows without cleartype and blurring of font and triple line spacing!!

Like google +,Android,Hangout,Maps.., chrome undergoes heavy regression. Tested since yesterday, OPERA seems the future (after test firefox), with a real saving of energy, and no need to scroll 20 pages of parameters and with a readable font.

If google believes that its material design is excellent why not have extended its theme selector? And let users choose their presentation.

Attach a screenshot of the bad font rendering - this is definitely a bug that needs fixing. As for the general dissatisfaction with the new settings, there's nothing the developers can do (they obviously think it's okay) unless this becomes a widely shared attitude, which I doubt personally, even though I partially agree with the notion. You can file separate bugs on specific aspects - with screenshots, comparisons of your workflow in the old and new settings.

Hi baudav@, I've filed Issue 753635 about the bad translations. Re: the Flash toggle, I'm sorry you find it confusing. The label actually reflects the toggle's current state, so when the toggle is off Flash is blocked and when it's on Flash can be enabled on sites.

I'm marking this bug as a duplicate, but feel free to file bugs for any specific issues you have with the Material Design Settings page.
