youtube is not using webview (at least in the most important views) so this should not be related crbug.com/756529 . This bug is not reproducible on ToT (on hana ofc). This bug is not reproducible on 62.0.3202.12. This bug is not reproducible on 59. Note that because of crbug.com/756529 scrolling in clank is not working. Maybe the bug was using youtube in clank I close as i cannot reproduce.

log is attached in #1 and it's invoking 'com.google.android.youtube'
according to
** MEMINFO in pid 6096 [com.google.android.youtube] **
WebViews: 0
does this mean it doesn't load any webview?

I don't know if this log means that Youtube is not using WebView. I based my judgement using uiautomator. As far as i see Youtube is using the standard android UI toolkit (LinearLayout, ImageView, ...). For example the scrollable view which present all the videos is a RecyclerView (with id/results) that contains lots of child views. |
