Debugging single-long-line-code hangs the Developer Tools feature for a while

Project Member Reported by phistuck@gmail.com, Aug 2 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.78 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to https://go.geniac.com/fe/employee-onboarding/profile/a0Db000000k67AHEAY/001b000003QVutJAAT/ni2MPglcj6Gn3uPRa4KawETiWH8sc7
2. Open the Developer Tools.
3. Open its app.9330... file in the Sources panel.
4. Search for <select.
(This hangs the Developer Tools feature for me for a minute or so)
5. Beautify the file.
6. Add a breakpoint at that line (angular.element("<select...
7. Refresh.
(This hangs the Developer Tools feature for me for a minute or so, because the breakpoint code was reached and it tries to show the active breakpoint)
8. Click on the step-into button.
(This hangs the Developer Tools feature for me for a minute or so)

What is the expected behavior?
No hangs on single-long-line-code. Especially not when it is beautified.

What went wrong?
Hangs.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 60.0.3112.78 Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

Once the step-into command has finished hanging, things continue pretty smoothly.

This makes debugging almost impossible.

(This hangs the Developer Tools feature for me for a minute or so)
10. Refresh the page.
(I think this hung the Developer Tools feature for me for a minute or so)
11. Close the Developer Tools.
(This hangs the page for me for a minute or so)

Joel has a pretty-print view mode in works which should cover the use case.
