We're making our internal logging implementation more generic to accommodate logs from our TPM (see https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/#/c/chromiumos/platform/ec/+/597314/). In case we ever have another type of log that needs to be fetched via host command (TPM logs don't), we should consider making EC_CMD_PD_GET_LOG_ENTRY more generic. There are still some attributes specific to PD logging that the host needs to know about (such as stuffing port# in three bits), so we'll need to think carefully how to best express that.
