I tried the Stable and Canary versions on Chrome just now. I tried: <input type="file" name="abc2" accept="application/zip"> <input type="file" name="abc2" accept=".zip"> On Canary, both work. On Stable, the "application/zip" filter does not apply but the pop-up does open. On Stable, the ".zip" filter works as expected.
