Operating System details: Windows 10
Antivirus information: Yes. McAfee
DESCRIPTION:
- Can't cast on hangouts, getting 'No Cast Destination found'.
- As described, it's an intermittent issue. Other error they're getting was 'Connection Failed'
- Several devices are facing the same issue. Tried to use their Personal Computer to check if this is an issue on their network but no avail
- Customer is aware it's not really our scope of support but customer is insisting that the Engineers of Chrome should at least have an idea on how to fix the issue since the Chrome cast that they are using is built in function on the browser
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1) Hangouts session is on in the domain and a user is invited.
2) Open Google browser
3) Click the three dotted line at the upper right hand
4) Click the 'Cast' option
5) No option to cast on Hangouts. 'No Cast destinations found'
What is the expected result?
Cast on Hangouts should be one of the options in the list when you click 'Cast'
What happens instead?
'No Cast destinations found' when there should be an option that says 'Hangouts with(name)'
STEPS TAKEN:
Advised customer that there are some update/changes and fix that has been applied to Chrome cast in the coming Stable Version 60.
