Would it be possible to test this in Chrome Canary? We have fixed some other issues impacting FlipKart.

Also, when I try to reproduce your movie I do not get any zoom behavior on the image at all. Maybe the image has problems and FlipKart fixed it by disabling the zoom feature?

Can you still reproduce?

No your colleague showed me a working zoom of that same picture, but it doesn't work correct on my mac and you say that is doesn't work with you either!
So their you have the problem.
None of the images of flipkart.com are zooming correct, try it please.

-----Can you still reproduce?-----
Yes i can

And also in Canary it doesn't work, see my movie please.

In the movie you get a large popup overlay that is empty for the specific item you show. I do not get that popup overlay in any situation. I have no idea why an image would appear then disappear.

The behavior I see is more complex, and Safari behaves the same as Chrome.

Most items do not have any issue at all.

Sometimes, the first image of the item shows a "Loading" overlay when you mouse over it, and then nothing happens. If you chose a different image of the item from the left side, then everything works as expected. And if you go back to the original image of the item it also works.

Firefox seems to handle whatever it is correctly.

I think this is poor website design that has a race condition on setting up event handlers or other JS code.

Also the initial report has a Chrome 59 User Agent string but says that the issue was working before in Chrome 59. Could you please clarify the time that this issue appeared for you?
Please read the issue more carefully.
It works in Safari and in Firefox, also in Chrome version 59.
Chrome updated to version 60 and then it went wrong.

It isn't the website (flipkart.com or our website) because that works fine in Safari and in Firefox and in Chrome version 59. After the update of chrome 60 it went wrong.

Please let a developer of google look at this problem, because it is a problem in version 60 of your product.

Kind regards, Michael

flipkart.com on Safari 10.1.2 (12603.3.8) behaves exactly the same as Chrome for me. Firefox behaves differently. The behavior seems to depend on the window size or on re-doing layout. But in no cases have I seem the white popup appear with no image in it.

Does you behavior depend on window size, or change if the window is resized?
Do you get any errors on the developer console?
Do you have any Chrome extensions installed?
Can you try with an Incognito Window?
Do you have another example we can look at?

I am a developer with an understanding of all image handling related changes that have happened in Chrome recently, and with visibility on all image related bugs. I know it is frustrating that we cannot reproduce your problem but we are trying all the things we can.

Hello,
my CTO wants me to take this issue to our developers.
He is almost certain that we can fix this in our website code.
Thank you for your help so far.
You can close the issue.
