When increasing body width & height of Chrome Extension with transition, the animation is janky

Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.115 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Create a body and give it a 400px width & 400px height
2. Give the body transition of 2s and type of ease-out
3. Try to change $('body').css({ 'height': '600px', 'width: '800px' })
What is the expected behavior?
Smooth transition like other elements.
What went wrong?
It is causing a buggy interface.
Did this work before? N/A
Chrome version: 59.0.3071.115 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12.5

I've done my best to make a minimal example here (see attached files), but it doesn't reproduce on Chrome 60.0.3112.90, nor 62.0.3181.0 (Chrome Canary), using jQuery or vanilla Javascript. Try updating your Chrome to 60 from 59? Otherwise, it might be other elements in your extension's popup window that are interfering with the resize. Also see attached screen recording.

Yes, my UI elements were doing the same with you. But the body is smooth for you. Maybe you are right, it is other stuff interfering with the size. Why do the UI elements do that wobbling though?

@bertug.personal -- As mentioned in the comment#3, could you please verify by updating your Chrome to latest stable #60.0.3112.101. If you can still reproduce, you can try by removing the other extensions and creating a new profile to verify if the issue still persists. Thanks in advance.
