Unable to reproduce the issue in Win 7, Win-10 and MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014), 10.12.5 using chrome reported version #59.0.3071.115 and latest canary #62.0.3167.0. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Played audio on the tab by downloading a sample audio file from URL: http://www.sample-videos.com/download-sample-audio.php 2. Captured tab with audio using extension "chrome audio capture" from chrome webstore. 3. Observed that the audio of the tab did not disappear while capturing tab. Attaching screen cast for reference. a.skrykalov@ - Could you please check the issue on latest canary #62.0.3167.0 by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not. Also if possible please provide a sample test file or URL to triage the issue from TE end. Note: Providing the screen cast captured on mac as screencast was not possible to provide on Win-7 or Win-10 with audio sound. Thanks...!!

In extension "chrome audio capture" sound disappear after
chrome.tabCapture.capture({audio: true}, (stream) => {
and appear after
let audio = new Audio();
audio.srcObject = liveStream;
audio.play();
It does not work for me, because sound should be output to default communication speakers,
not to default speakers, and setSinkId does not work in the background script

I believe using the following extension API will do what you want (tab capture without muting local auduo): https://developer.chrome.com/extensions/desktopCapture (use the "tab" source in the API call) |
