Can't use Android system webview

Reported by deng1991...@gmail.com, Jul 24 2017

Issue description

THIS TEMPLATE IS FOR FILING BUGS ON THE ANDROID SYSTEM WEBVIEW. GENERAL WEB
BUGS SHOULD BE FILED USING A DIFFERENT TEMPLATE!

Device name: Meizu-m3
Android version:5.1
WebView version (from system settings -> Apps -> Android System WebView):none
Application: Android system webview
Application version:60.0

The issue:
Can't use this app

Cause:
The package's name is "com.google.android.webview",
but the system's original webview is "com.android.webview".

Advice:
Make another version with package name of "com.android.webview"

Details:
I installed Android system webview from play store ,but it existed together with system built-in webview.
When I use my explorer or applications based on web , the system causes "com.android.webview" instead of "com.google.android.webview". So the explorer can't use the WebKit.

deng1991816@, unfortunately, we are not providing com.android.webview, the best thing you could do is probably waiting for your phone vendor to upgrade the system software for you. This is because AOSP devices (like yours) are configured differently.

It wouldn't help you if we did provide a version called com.android.webview because the signing keys would be different (your version is signed by your device manufacturer, not by Google) - it wouldn't be possible to install it anyway. Only the manufacturer can update this.
