[A11y Assessment - Stylus Menu] Can't access menu with keyboard & need to remove splitters |
||||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionOS: Chrome Tested on Canary (61) but experienced in previous versions 1) I can't seem to get to the stylus menu using just the keyboard or keyboard with ChromeVox. I need to press Alt Shift S to get to the status tray, Alt Shift L to get to the launcher / shelf by keyboard. But the button to open the stylus menu is not part of either of these -- I simply can't get to it using the keyboard or Chromevox, which is a big problem. We need to either include this as part of the status tray navigation, or less ideally, add another keyboard shortcut to open that menu. 2) If I cheat with the mouse and click on that button to open the menu, there are some issues with ChromeVox. First, we have splitters here like the status tray that are verbalized. These need to be removed so that ChromeVox doesn't read the splitters aloud. @Tom can you help to triage?

I also cannot get chromevox to read the divider. Though i notice (Alt+Shift+P) does not close the stylus menu.

Yep, so you need to press Search+Right once you're in the menu to get to the splitters. Also, escape should close this menu, not Alt Shift P :)

Closing since theres a seperate bug regarding splitters crbug.com/747467 , and the keyboard navigation is as expected. |
