Unable to copy / paste 'Image Address' in omnibox

Issue descriptionChrome Version :61.0.3162.0 46d636d25e054da0b0d8270d525c84f39146ce30-refs/heads/master@{#488073} OS: Mac (10.11.6, 10.12.3) Pre condition: Url - https://www.google.co.in/search?q=cars&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjUgq28vpfVAhWKx7wKHSm_AwIQ_AUICigB&biw=1440&bih=696#tbm=isch&q=stars Steps to Reproduce? 1. Launch Chrome, navigate to above Url 2. Right Click on image and select ‘Copy Image Address’ option then paste it in omnibox 3. Observe Actual: Unable to copy / paste 'Image Address' in omnibox Expected: Image Address should be copy / paste in omnibox This is an non-regression issue seen from M-45 Note: 1. Issue is not reproducible in Windows and Linux OS 2. Issue is not reproducible in Safari and Firefox browser

These images use data: URLs to inline the image contents. If those URLs are too long, Mac will just reject them. I suspect what you really wanted is the address of the original source image, which takes a couple more steps to get -- that's how Google Image Search works. :/ |
