Regression: Unnecessary Autoscrolling effect is seen for every click on 'Audit' section of devtools.

Issue descriptionChrome Version :61.0.3162.0 (Official Build) 46d636d25e054da0b0d8270d525c84f39146ce30-refs/heads/master@{#488073} 32/64 bit OS : Windows (7,8,10),Linux What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome and navigate to chrome://settings/help 2. Open Devtools, click on ‘Audits’ and click on ‘Perform an audit…’ button such that dialog is seen 3. Click on ‘Run Audit’ (wait till Audit gets loaded) and then click on arrow beside settings option name on LHS of devtools. 4. Then click on Performance, then click 'Best Practices' and observe. Actual:Unnecessary Autoscrolling effect is seen for every click Expected: Autoscrolling effect should not be seen. This is regression issue, broken in ‘M 61’ and will soon provide other info.

This is not autoscroll. It's actually a section with "scroll-behavior: smooth". With the smooth-scroll shipped, we are able to see the animation now. There might be an unnecessary "scroll to top of the page" before the section's smooth-scroll animation. That's why the animation has some unnecessary stuff. Perhaps the DevTools team is better at fixing this javascript problem.

We've since changed the UI to remove the side navigation and smooth scroll is no longer observed in 65.0.3289.0 |
