From the logs, it looks like customer is using USB hub, as when the connect/disconnect usb both jabra and ptz pro cam is found.

Tried to reproduce this on M59-9460.73.0 on Guado. Launched a hangout session, adjusted the camera settings and returned back to home position - camera display worked fine throughout. Thanks.

I personally have not seen this happening to anyone using a Guado in the office, so in this sense I do not have much input. Should we try to get a hold of a USB hub and see if that causes issues?

No such camera in my office either. Will try to order (but takes time) https://support.google.com/chromedevicesformeetings/answer/4618201 ^^ can we double-check we tried with the very same camera as the customer? It's a Camera: PTZ Pro Camera (046d:0853) - just as advertised on our website

Before the end of the day I'll try and reproduce the issue. I am currently flashing a guado with the same CrOS version. I'll go through the office to see if I can locate the same camera to test it.

In truth, so far I was not able to find a PTZ Pro camera around the office so I was not able to test the scenario. I have tested with a Conferencecam which did not show issues after several join-leave cycles. On a different note, I have noticed that the version of CrOS used is R59-9460.60.0 which might not include on of the various fixes related to video issues. Further, I do not think this is related to the "quircks" fixed by mzhuo@ in crrev.com/c/533805, since those would affect only C920 and C930e cameras. @Katierh: are you aware of any other changes that affected cameras?

kotah - any chance the customer has tried this with 60? we did have some usb xhci changes in 60 that aren't in 59 that may/may not make things better here harpreet - if you have a ptz pro, have you been able to repro by any chance?

We only have a PTZ pro 2 and ConferenceCam; and per crbug.com/746619#c6 we have not been able to repro with either of these. kotah@ / royans@ - how frequently is this issue seen by the customer?
,
Jul 21 2017
#c13: I don't think they have tried M60 on that device - It is still at M59 as of today. We could ask to try M60 if the latest Stable M59 update does not solve issue. #c14: We don't know the exact frequency, but they have observed the issue multiple times in the past couple of days.

#c15 - do you know how this customer got an earlier 59? can you confirm after they have the later 59 and report back?

Not sure how they got this Cfm updated to 59...but I will ask if the issue persists with the latest update. Assigning to myself for now.

Customer didn't respond and support case is closed now. I am closing this bug as WontFix (not reproducible). |
