Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_4) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.115 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
Open a webpage with a secure connection.
What is the expected behavior?
Pages with a secure connection should say "Säker" in the omnibox.
What went wrong?
It says "Säkert".
Did this work before? N/A
Chrome version: 59.0.3071.115 Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.12.4
Flash Version:
The Swedish translation of "Secure" (regarding secure connections) in the omnibox is wrong. Currently is says "Säkert". As it refers to the connection, it should say "Säker" to be grammatically correct. If you click on the "Säker" button, the correct translation will be seen in the appearing text box.
Also, if you click the "Läs mer" link ("Read more"), the documentation page has the correct translation that should be in used Chrome. See attached screenshot.
After a search, I also found this issue: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=645290
It seems the linked issue could be the source to this translation error. If so, "Not Secure" connections will be translated as "Inte säkert", but should be "Inte säker". The documentation page is correct in this case too. See screenshot.

Able to reproduce this issue on Mac 10.12.5, Win-10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome reported version #59.0.3071.115 and latest canary #62.0.3165.0. This is a non-regression issue as it is observed from M56 old builds. Note: From M54 and older builds pages with a secure connection doesn't say "Säker" in the omnibox, it shows only a lock symbol as in the attached screen shot. In M55, it is shown as secure in english even if the page is in swedish language. Hence, marking it as untriaged to get more inputs from dev team. Thanks...!!

Hi, This is now fixed in the translation and we're now just waiting for it to push to live version. Kind Regards, Marvin |
