HighSierra: Gmail rendering issue. |
||||||||||||||||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome: 61.0.3159.0 Canary OS X: Mac OS X 10.13 Beta (17A306F), "MacBook Pro with Retina display, Intel Core i7, 15" (Mid 2012)" Dual GPU 1. Launch chrome and open 3 to 4 websites on different tabs 2. Login to Gmail and navigate to other tab 3. I was updating crbug in other tab (~2 mins) and came back to Gmail 4. I was seeing white patches in Gmail tab and it's slowly started rendering once i did some mouse clicks Attaching the screen-shot for your reference. PS: I will update the bisect info once i have the consistent repro. Thank you!

Yes, as per the screenshot the Inbox list is not completely rendered. It's showing top 5 emails only.

[mac triage] Looks like a compositor tile is missing.. which tends to happen due to GPU bugs/leaks/OOMs. I think erik has been poking around there.. manoranjanr@: any luck on a repro/bisect? Can you attach about:gpu? This sounds like Déjà vu, with Issue 666887 -> Issue 661596 which documents a similar problem on the Sierra rollout.

Unable to reproduce the issue MacBook Pro 10.12.5 with chrome canary #62.0.3172.0, followed the steps as mentioned in comment #0. Note: Since the issue is in-consistent, removing the Needs-Bisect label for now and add again once we have consistent steps to repro the issue. Thank You...

ericrk@, Just wondering this would be the same issue as https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=751919 ? PS: Chrome://gpu is same for both these issues. Thank you!

mano@ is this reproducible after the fix in Issue 751919 ?

Seems very likely that this is the same issue. re-assinging to mano@ to see whether this was addressed by the fix to issue 751919 and is reproducible on ToT.
