Chrome crashing when printing to Canon printer

Project Member Reported by pastarmovj@chromium.org, Jul 17 2017

Issue description

From: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome-admins/urjh3-z5GsI;context-place=forum/chrome-admins

Crashes:
Server ID: 2ccd362c78000000
Server ID: aea47fbe40000000
Server ID: dc23256888000000

All of those crashes happen in cnxdias2.dll which is part of "Driver Information Assist Service" for Canon printers which seems to be injected in the Chrome process when printing.

From the crash reports, it looks like the same issue as 726975. Maybe try the workaround proposed there.
We experience exactly the same problem on my wife's computer.

However, when I try to look into issue 726975, i get the message "You do not have permission to view the requested page. Reason: User is not allowed to view this issue"

What should I do?

The issue is on a Windows 10, 64-bit system.
On my own computer, Windows 10 32-bit, I don't experience the problem.
In addition to my comment above:
We have a Canon printer (iSensys MF8030Cn). I'm not sure the problem is in the same dll file but it seems most likely since the problem is exactly the same.

I am having a similar issue. I just got a new computer and have a Canon MF8350cdn printer which uses the MF8300 series driver. Prints fine in Firefox and I'm also able to print to Adobe PDF from Chrome just fine, but as soon as I try to print directly from Chrome to my printer it crashes.

I am not sure what workaround is being suggested at the link above because I'm also not able to view it.

If it is basically what's suggested here at
http://tompai.pro/computers/solved-printing-from-chrome-crashes-spooler/

that won't work because the latest version of Chrome, which I am using, doesn't allow users to manage plugins. I have the cnxdias2.dll file referenced above, using latest version of Windows 10.
Sorry if you can't see the bug this is merged into. There hasn't been any progress there. Separate, but somewhat related, we are looking into isolating print drivers, so if there is an incompability, one would just get an error message, instead of the entire browser crashing.

I have the MF 8050 and had that same problem of chrome crashes any time I print.
Iv had this same problems for months.
I finally fixed is by installing this Service Pack for MF8050Cn/MF8350Cdn Printer Driver (32-bit & 64-bit)
