Issue connecting to gmail on guest wifi at a hospital

Issue description

Chrome Version       : 61.0.3153.4
OS Version: OS X 10.12.5
URLs (if applicable) :
Other browsers tested:
  Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
     Safari 5: ? only have Safari 10.1.1 and OK
  Firefox 4.x: ? only have Firefox 54.0.1 (64-bit) and OK
     IE 7/8/9: ?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open a new tab in Chrome
2. Type gmail.com (or mail.google.com) and hit enter
3. See error message.

What is the expected result? 

Access gmail website.

What happens instead of that?

Error message:
This site can’t be reached

mail.google.com is currently unreachable.
Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
ERR_SSL_VERSION_INTERFERENCE

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Unable to reproduce the issue using chrome version 61.0.3153.4 on MAC 10.12.5 using both wifi and lan network. Navigated to gmail.com and was able to see the page successfully.

Request you to disable if there was any proxy and try again. Please update us with your observations.

The issue has resolved itself. The WiFi network at the hospital now works with gmail.
