Recovery screen went black for Pit

Chrome Version: M61.0.3156.0 dev pit
OS: ChromeOS 9744.0.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Initiate recovery using a USB stick.

What is the expected result?
Recovery should complete and device would restart after removing the recover USB stick.

What happens instead?
After 2.5 minutes into the recovery process, the screen went black.  After waiting for 10 minutes, removed the USB stick and nothing happened. After manually restart the device, everything seemed normal though.

Only reproduced on Pit. Not reproduced in other devices tested: Yuna, Kevin.
