Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Go to https://jsfiddle.net/eor9o9u3/4/
2. There's a CSS selector for option:hover, but when hovering over the select box items, the items don't have a red background
3. 

What is the expected behavior?
The items in the select box should have the style applied to them.
The same example works in Microsoft Edge

What went wrong?
The option:hover selector is not handled by Chrome
