Focus not coming to the main page after a basic authentication

Reported by bobbyjos...@gmail.com, Jul 14 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/59.0.3071.115 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. In Incognito mode, go to a website which just has a textbox control, but needs to have a basic authentication.
2. Enter the user name and password and once you come to main page, the focus is not released to the page on the background, because the caret is not displayed on the textbox, even after clicking it
3. You will be able to type text, but the caret not shown says there is a problem

What is the expected behavior?
You should be able to come to the page, with the cursor displayed on the textbox, once you click the mouse pointer

What went wrong?
Caret not displayed.
The real issue is in my actual website application, when the user comes to the main page after login, when the cursor is not shown, the jquery valudations fail and eventhough i have the required fields in the textbox, it just fails and does not proceed.

Before you thing its not related, my solution was to put a javascript alert in the first page, which forces to shift the focus out and the whole application works after wards. It used to work till last week before the chrome update and works now in IE and firefox.

Telerik was able to reproduce my issue and they have helped in creating test site where you can see the issue.

Did this work before? Yes The version before- Started this problem after last week Chrome update

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 59.0.3071.115 Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version:

Telerik helped with this test site, where the problem is repeated.

This looks similar to issue#739676 (mostly duplicate)
Yep, you are right. So will this issue be auto closed ?
The other ticket says status closed , does it mean, its resolved for next release ?
