This only reproduces on larger devices, which makes me think it might be related to the WebView interstitial changes. ntfschr, do you think you could take a look?

I had no trouble reproing on Nexus 5X - I don't think it's screen-size-dependent. git blame led me to this CL: https://codereview.chromium.org/2933343002. It's already reverted. I'll try on ToT later today to verify it's fixed. FYI zpeng@

Sorry for causing this trouble. The revert was in yesterday. I just checked https://expired.badssl.com on a ToT build, and "Your connection is not private, etc." displays ok.
