VR: Exiting VR by entering multiwindow mode leaves Chrome locked to landscape orientation.

Project Member Reported by mthiesse@chromium.org, Jul 12 2017

Issue description

As far as I can tell VR is attempting to restore the orientation correctly, there's probably some other code somewhere doing things with orientation when multiwindow mode changes.

How does one enter multiwindow mode from in VR?

+billorr who was working on another orientation bug.
You just swipe in the system buttons and long press the overview button (the square) while in VR.
Before debugging, I do see that we do fail to clean up preferences on the activity when swapHostActivity is called. There could be other places we fail to clean up state.

Looks like it could be an Android bug - we are setting the requested orientation, but calling getRequestedOrientation immediately after doesn't reflect that.

I'm going to just close this as WontFix. It's an Android bug that doesn't affect O, that the Android team isn't going to fix, and that approximately 0 users will encounter, and if they do it's not the end of the world.
