WebVR presentation overlays use inconsistent styles |
|||||||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 61.0.3150.0 What steps will reproduce the problem? Follow the steps from issue 740711 to see all three overlays: (0) Enable WebVR in chrome://flags. (1) From the VR browser, navigate to http://webvr.info/samples/insecure/test-insecure.html (2) Click the Enter VR button. What is the expected result? All overlays should follow a consistent style. See the attached image. What happens instead? Each of the three overlays has a different style. Please use labels and text to provide additional information. As noted in issue 740711 , fixing the third overlay may not be important. However, should the other two be more consistent? Also, note how the borderless top overlay blends into the white box behind it. The same could also happen to the other overlays given matching colors in the background. Should we add a border to overlays?

Toasts should use consistent styling. Here's a mockup of how our "worst case" should look (all three toasts showing at once).

What is the action item here? The first and third overlays were removed as part of issue 771223 . Is this now just about styling the overlay per the spec? Should that be tracked another way?

Taking this. I'll consult Gordon directly and either close or update this issue. Dropping the M-66 milestone.

The style differences were fixed in 64 or 65 I believe. Note that insecure indicators no longer apply, because newer versions of the WebVR spec disallow http and broken https. This means the only current toast is "press app button to exit". While checking in-headset, I did note that the icon is missing from the "press app button to exit" toast. We should fix this in follow-up work on in-WebVR toasts. cjgrant@chromium.org can you file a separate bug for that?

Closing as WontFix, because obsolete. Please correct if this is not right. |
