Issue descriptionWhen you try to open one of them in Chrome without "http://" you are redirected to Google search. For example you can try to search the domain name убб.бг in Chrome and see the result. Seems like .бг has not been added to the list at https://publicsuffix.org/ which Chrome uses to decide what might be a domain. Is this something we can do or the TLD owner of the domain should file as a request? https://github.com/publicsuffix/list is where issues should be filed for the Public Suffix List. We didn't pick it up because it went directly through the root zone database change (e.g. for ccTLDs) rather than the gTLD application process, and the PSL's tools are only monitoring the gTLD influx. Filed https://github.com/publicsuffix/list/issues/482 in general, and tentatively marked Bloked On Issue 727864

We should take that discussion to the PSL. They aren't automated tools - they were contributed - and ICANN doesn't have a feed appropriate (yet), although it's been discussed for... 2 years? The obvious answer is "yes", but it's historically a question of https://xkcd.com/1205/ and the fact that the root zone database rarely changes, save for exceptional political reasons. For example, the Bulgarian delegation was in discussion for 10 years before it came about.

Hi This bug is still not fixed. The .бг is added to https://publicsuffix.org/list/public_suffix_list.dat but we have the same problem. When you try to open one of .бг domains in Chrome without "http://" you are redirected to Google search. How long does it takes for database to refresh it self.

If you open a new ticket, please indicate the version. If it is not Chrome 60 or newer, it will be closed, because the issue is fixed in Chrome 60 or later. |
