Issue descriptionDevice name: Nexus 5x From "Settings > About Chrome betta" Application version:60.0.3112.50 Operating system:Android URLs (if applicable): Steps to reproduce: (1) Browse any web page (2) tap to any not url word (3) choose translate. Expected result: in older version of chrome pop up of translate was appering with translation. It doesn't after latest update. Though translate app works properly with other apps Actual result: no pop up appers.

@prashanthpola: looks like the version is 60.0.3112.50. It's listed in the bug by the reporter. @minmher: The feature you describe is actually not a Chrome feature but rather a Google Translate app feature that works inside of Chrome. Make you sure you still have a Google Translate app installed and have enabled Tap To Transate in the Google Translate app's settings. I'm marking this particulat bug as won't fix since it's not a Chrome bug but do let me know if you continue to have issues and I can reach out to the right person on the Google Translate team. Also despite the feature being called "Tap to Translate" you need to press rather than tap. When you press to select tect you'll see a bar that says: "copy", "share", "select all", and the three-dot overflow menu. The Translate option is under the three-dot menu. |
