Chrome Recovery Utility [CRU] says OK to Eject media when done. Chromebook then issues a "Whoa there!" warning

Reported by frankt3...@gmail.com, Jul 7 2017

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 9693.1.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/61.0.3144.0 Safari/537.36
Platform: 9693.1.0 (Official Build) dev-channel parrot

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open CRU
2. insert a USB stick into Chromebook
3. Proceed to build recovery
4. when finished, CRU pages to "ok to remove media"
5. remove media
6. Chromebook issues a "Whoa there!" warning about pulling the USB

What is the expected behavior?
CRU should display instructions for save removal of USB,if that is correct process, OR--->
Chromebook should not issue "Whoa there"

New users will be/are terribly confused at this point...
